Summary:
Aspen Academy is looking to hire a talented Library / Media Specialist for the 2024/2025 School Year! The Library / Media Specialist provides the leadership and expertise necessary to develop, implement, and maintain a media program that reflects the mission, goals, and objectives of the school.
The Library Media Specialist (1) provides information literacy skills instruction to students, (2) administers media center operations, programming, and resources, and (3) collaborates and consults with teachers and staff for the purpose of integrating technology and information literacy skills into subject matter instruction.
Tasks, but not limited to:
Plan instructional tasks that are meaningful and related to learning goals Implement District / State-approved curriculum Provide services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to problem solve Develop extended and enriched activities to challenge students beyond the required curriculum Adapt the instruction the needs and learning goals for students Display enjoyment, humor, and enthusiasm for teaching and expect students to enjoy learning Conduct ongoing assessments for learning Relate lesson content to prior and future learning Use appropriate level of questioning to promote understanding Represent knowledge/information non-linguistically through a variety of methods Utilize technology effectively and appropriately to enhance learning Please email:
